We had our first game last week. We didn't win. But we didn't lose either, because in t-ball, you don't keep score. Everyone gets to bat one time each inning and each person runs one base at a time.
Here I am playing third base. Can you tell it's super exciting?
It's much more fun when I get to bat and run. I like wearing the helmet when I bat, although it feels like it's going to fall off when I run, which is why I sometimes have to slow down on my way to a base and hold it on.
Ready to run home. Actually, I don't usually know when I'm supposed to run. Mom just told me to get ready. Normally, I just stand on the base until the coaches (or my parents) start yelling at me to run.
Here's a super short video of me running home.
Maybe t-ball will get more exciting once we all get better at it. I like my mitt, but I don't like to play catch because the ball doesn't always land in my mitt. I really like hitting, but I only get to do that two or three times during practice or a game. Like I said, a lot of doing nothing. At least we've had nice weather so far for every game and practice. And we get snacks after the game. Go Rockhounds!
