My new tricks

AND....sleeping through the night! Okay, so I only did that once, and it was just last night, but Mommy has ridiculously high hopes that I might be turning a corner with sleeping. Guess we'll find out tonight.

I love jumping in this thing.

And sucking on everything that's on it.

But sometimes, my brother seems to think that it's his toy.

It's always fun to watch Ty, so I guess I can watch him play with it once in a while.

Happy Mother's Day

We were late to church on Mother's Day because Mom insisted on having her picture taken with me and baby sister. How could I possibly say no? After all, I do have the best mom in the whole wide world.

HELP!

Ty let me use a post to ask for some help with this blog. I have not updated the background or header since I started it 3 1/2 year ago. And ever since I upgraded to Windows 7, I seem to be struggling with moving pictures around and having normal spacing between text and pictures. Can any bloggers out there give me some help on how to create a new header and get a decent background, and edit posts more easily?

The Real Deal

I've been sitting on the dining room table for a couple of months now watching my family put delicious looking things in their mouth. All I ever get to put in my mouth is a bottle (which really isn't that bad) and a bunch of stuffed toys, blankets, plastic rings, my fingers, and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on.

But now I have finally joined the world of eating real food. Last weekend I got my first taste of rice cereal--YUM!


It turns out you're supposed to swallow the stuff and not just suck on the spoon that is put in your mouth.

My big brother wanted to feed me too.

He did a pretty good job--when he was watching where he was putting the spoon!

And just for kicks...here's a picture of me and my big bro who is so awesome.

Star Wars

Mom took me to a Star Wars exhibit at the Pacific Science Center that had all kinds of costumes and things from the Star Wars movies. It was soooo cool!

Baby Sister liked the Star Wars stuff too because Mom carried her around in the Snugli. But once she was put back in her carseat, she wasn't too happy. Here's her latest trick:

She tries to arch her back, kick her feet, and slide out of her bouncer at home too. She is constantly on the move.

Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited our house again this year and he brought me Star Wars Legos!!!!! Oh, and some candy and a pillow pet.

I woke up a little early Easter morning and Dad wasn't quite ready to get up.

Now she's eyeing my basket (and making a grab for some of my loot), probably because she's noticing that mine is bigger and better than hers:

Tulip Festival--sort of

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Tulip Festival. The only problems were that it was super cold, muddy, lots of traffic, and there were hardly any tulips to see. There were lots of green tulip heads, but not a lot of color. Oh, and Sydney cried almost the whole way there and back. Good times.

Does this picture of Dad and Syd look familiar? (For some reason, Blogger isn't letting me put links to other posts in here. So if you're feeling up to it, check out my March post on our vacation in February.) Sydney is getting a little big for Dad's coat now, but I'm sure she was way warmer than the rest of us.

Mom thought it would be a lot warmer than it was and she only brought a sweathsirt for me to wear. So I was wrapped up in Dad's sweatshirt until I started running around and warmed up. You'll notice that mom brought a nice warm coast for herself.

But we did manage to find some tulips that were starting to bloom.

There were plenty of daffodils. I thought we might be able to see that many tulips if we go back next year, but Dad says we probably won't go back for another ten years. If you're wondering why, re-read the beginning of this post.
