We had our ward Christmas party last night. I had fun running like a crazy man around the cultural hall with my friends while Mommy and Daddy ate dinner. Katy and I even took our shoes off at one point and then took turns spinning on this fun toy.

But the highlight of the night was when this big guy showed up. This was my first time meeting Santa Claus and I had been waiting all night for him to come. I even had some quarters in my pocket that I wanted to give him.

I stood in line with all the other kids and watched my friends sit on his lap. I was going to tell him that I wanted a fire engine and an orange boat for Christmas.

But there's just something about Santa Claus that kind of freaks you out when it's time for you to sit on his lap. He so real! I mean I've seen him in pictures and on TV, but in person...whoa! I kind of lost it.

And not even a candy cane would get me to get any closer to him.

Of course, after my turn was over I really started crying because then I was sad that I
hadn't sat on his lap. Luckily Daddy told him what I wanted for Christmas, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll still bring them to me.

Thanks for the great Christmas card and picture. I've been waiting to get your card so I can send one to you (I lost my address file when we transferred files to our new computer! Ooops.) Ty is adorable and I've enjoyed reading his blog. congrats on the new little one; how exciting. I'll try to check back at your blog often. Merry Christmas!
