Did you know....

...that a pumkin has stuff inside of it???!!!!

And when a spoon won't get all of it out, you can reach in with your bare hands!

And the stuff inside is SLIMY!!!!

And fun to throw around.

Which is what I did with it. I was just copying Daddy. He threw a little slime at Mommy, so then I threw a little slime at Mommy. And a little more slime, and a few seeds, and then I just started chucking it all over the kitchen. Daddy thought it was funny, so I kept throwing. I had to pick up some of the seeds afterward. Guess who ended up mopping the floor? (If you guessed Daddy, since he was the one who started it, you're wrong.)

After we pulled all of the gunk out of it, Daddy used a knife to cut holes in the pumpkin that made it look like a face. My favorite part was the little lid. It's like a puzzle piece.

In this picture I was doing my "big smile" (see posting Fun pictures ), but Mommy took the picture too late and I was already done:

We didn't clean out and cut up Cooper's pumpkin, but Mommy drew a face on it and we left it for him at the cemetery.

Since Cooper won't be able to go trick-or-treating, Daddy left him some candy with his pumpkin.

Pumpkins and Mazes

Mommy and Daddy took me to this really cool place. There were lots of pumpkins and a path that had really tall plants growing around it and trucks!

Look out how big this truck is!!!!

We rode a tractor around a bunch of pumpkins. I love tractors, but I wasn't sure what to think about riding on one.

Then we went on the path surrounded by lots of tall plants. Mommy and Daddy called it a corn maze. I started out on Daddy's shoulders. Apparently it's really easy to get lost because the corn is so tall. It made me a little nervous.

Then I got the hang of it. Basically you just need to run everywhere and you'll never get lost.

Mommy and Daddy are slow pokes. They had a hard time keeping up.

There was a really cool tunnel in the middle of the maze. Daddy went through it with me the first time. The second time I tried to hang out in the middle by myself, but these other kids kept trying to get in too. So I finally had to just leave.

After the maze we ate some food--yummy French fries, something sweet called a Funnel Cake, and strawberry lemonade. Then we went to pick out a pumpkin in a field that had millions of them everywhere!

I tried to pick one up, but it was just way too heavy. Next year I'm sure I'll be stronger.

We picked out one for me, and one for Cooper.

Here was one of the best parts of our trip:

I can't wait to do this again next year!

Sprinkles!

We had our ward Hoween party on Friday night. There were lots of fun things to do there, but the best place to hang out was at the cookie-decorating table. They had these things there called sprinkles that were basically pure sugar--and I love sugar! They were pretty small and it was hard for me to pick up more than a couple at a time, so daddy made it easier by dumping them right on the table. Much better!

Thanks to Sis. Anderson for capturing my colorful face.

I am elephant hear me roar!

Daddy says that Hoween is coming. I'm not sure who that is, but I get to wear an elephant suit. It gives me a wedgie (that's when your diaper keeps you from poohing). I like my suit though. It has a long nose and I can make elephant sounds.

Oh Boy!

Sometimes I can get in trouble.

Mommy likes to put smelly powder on my bottom to cover the pooh smell. I thought it would be a good idea to spread this powder over the whole house. This way I can pooh anywhere I want. Unfortunately mommy is still making me wear a diaper.

Check me out as I jump on the bed. Mommy said she could even hear my tummy jiggling.

My New Obsession Part 2

Mommy and I watch this movie 3 or 4 times a day! Not the whole thing. Usually Mommy starts it and I watch it for a little bit before I decide to do something else. I think Mommy really likes it. And she definitely has favorite parts. I know because after starting it from the beginning about a dozen times and never finishing it, she started going to the scene selection menu and starting at different parts of the movie.

To understand why this movie is so great, see the posting My new obsession .

Wrap up

So here are some pictures from my two days with Grandma and Grandpa de Jong.

You know me--I love water! And water in the desert isn't nearly as cold as water in Seattle. It was awesome!

Grandpa's shoes fit as well as Daddy's!

Who knows when I'll get this close to dogs again since Mommy and Daddy aren't pet people. I really had to savor my dog time:

Uncle Mark's dog Cujo (he is soooo nice!)

Aunt Kari's friend's dog Riley in AZ

And of course, random pics with the grandparents:

A BUS!!!!!

When we first got to Grandma and Grandpa de Jong's, Grandma pulled out a bin full of cars!!!! I LOVE cars!!!! I played with them all afternoon and Uncle Mark played with me for a little bit.

I love my Uncle Mark. He is so big!

Even compared to Mommy!

But the really cool thing about Uncle Mark is that he drives a school bus! And he let me get on his!!!!! I LOVE buses! And now I've actually been on one!!!!

Even the wheel is bigger than me:

Check out how Uncle Mark relaxes on the bus in between his routes:

Oh my gosh! I think that was the best day EVER!!!!
