But apparently, before you can get in, you have to put on these giant, ugly orange things called life vests.
I hated mine.
How are you supposed to enjoy the canoe ride with this giant thing wrapped around your neck?
I decided a canoe ride didn't sound all that fun anymore.
Mommy and Daddy paddled out onto the lake with me screaming the whole time. They sure don't get it sometimes. I was throwing a huge fit and they just kepts going. I think I heard them say something about me liking it once we got out on the lake. HA! They ended up pulling over on this island and Mommy had to get me out and walk me back to where we started from while Daddy paddled back by himself. Maybe they should listen to me the next time I say I don't want to do something. It might have been fun, except for the stupid life vest.

The vest did look a little big and uncomfortable but you can't go out without one. I love that Ty didn't give in even after he was on the water! Like you said, a kid knows what he wants, we just don't listen!!!
