Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Daddy made me my very own Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Who knew you could make something like this out of blankets, pillows, and chairs??? It was so much fun to play inside!



Too bad it was all gone when I woke up the next morning. I'll have to say the magic words to see if it will appear again--Meeska, mooska, Mickey Mouse!

The Puyallup Fair

One of our first stops at the fair was the Hobby Hall. I almost didn't leave. On display was a HUGE collection of cars from the movie Cars. I was in pure heaven. I saw some that I already have and some that I think I'll put on my birthday list. : )

Wow! Mommy sure was hungry!

I am just barely tall enough to ride the rides at the fair. Yay! I love rides! The first one I went on was a motorcycle that drove around in a circle.

I felt so cool.

It's hard to tell from this picture below (you're looking at my back), but they sure didn't design these motorcycles well. They're supposed to be for kids like me, but all of us on the ride had to lean way forward to reach the handlebars (thank goodness for seatbelts) and our feet just dangled in the air.

Next, I went on a tiger roller coaster with Daddy. I was tall enough to ride, but too short to ride alone.

I even was brave enough to put my hands up in the air.

After the tiger, I got to drive a car! Mommy and Daddy were too big for these cars, and they don't let you drive alone, so I made a friend really quick in line.


The last ride was with Mommy on a fire engine that went up in the air. I could barely see over the side.

Look how high up it went!

After rides, I got to eat an ice cream cone as big as my head.

And I've recently learned how to use a napkin by myself. They sure come in handy for someone like me who doesn't like to get messy when I eat.

While we were wandering around we saw this huge guy in a black suit walking around with some other guys in white suits.

There were lots of animals at the fair: goats, cows, bunnies, and a mommy pig with her baby pigs!

Just before we left I saw a fire engine--my favorite!

And you can't leave the fair without some Cotton Candy.

I sure hope we get to go again next year!

Mommy's shoes

These are actually easier to walk in than Daddy's shoes (Big shoes to fill)! That giant heel on the back pushes my foot way down into the toe of the shoe and keeps it there. The shoes don't slip off, but I have to be careful not to tip over!

Just like Handy Manny!

Now all I need is a real tool belt!

Point Defiance

Grandpa de Jong sent me the pictures we took at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium several weeks ago.

At the zoo, one of the workers brought out an armadillo and let it run around on the grass while she told people all about it. Mommy and Grandma even got to touch it.


This is what I found most interesting:

See those people in the left hand corner of the picture above? They're all looking at the armadillo. Obviously I couldn't care less. I thought the main attraction was lunch. I LOVE picnics!

Next we went to visit the meerkats. Grandma thought they were so cute laying in a pile like this.

My favorite part?

Running through the plastic flaps that led in and out of the meerkat exhibit.

And I decided to feed the goats like Mommy did when we were at Remlinger Farms.

One of my favorite parts of the zoo was the kids' playground. Here I am swinging like a monkey.

And sitting in a spider web.

We got to see a walrus.

Or, Grandma and Grandpa and Mommy did. I preferred playing with the helicopter Gma and Gpa has just bought me.

They also saw a seal.

I thought running up and down the nearby steps was more interesting.

But I definitely had fun on the carousel, which is the way I end every trip to the zoo.

Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Once a month we have dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house with some of my cousins. Grandpa always has yummy treats to share with me.

He definitely knows how to win me over.

I got a whole bag of chips from one little hug!

Grandma decided to try the bribery path too in order to win a little affection.

She didn't even notice when I snuck a chip. And I probably could have gotten away scott free!

But I love her, so I decided to give her a hug anyway.
