Eternal Work in Progress Part 4
Two guys came over and painted our whole house in two days. They were super fast.

Eternal Work in Progress Part 3
This is the front of our lawn. Daddy decided to dig it up. I think I inspired him with my super digging abilities. I love digging in dirt. I think that is my favorite thing to do... next to throwing rocks of course... and pooping... and jumping on daddy's tummy... and playing choo choos.
There is a big box in front of our house. Daddy thinks it is ugly, but I think it is fun to jump on.
Our back yard gets really wet in the winter. And the slope makes it so I can't play on half of it.
Daddy dug a big hole in the backyard. It took three months and he did it all by hand. Daddy's crazzzzy! He put a big toy in the hole and it was lots of fun, but he decided to bury it. What a waste.
Here are daddy's new walls. He spent a lot of time working on these. The rocks were so big that I couldn't throw them.
This wall is lots of fun to walk on.
He's even building one in the back... but it is too tall for me. Momma says he is building me a jail.

Eternal Work in Progress Part 2
Daddy has lots of connections from work. He hired all sorts of cool guys to replace our roof and siding.

I watched the workers through the windows all day long, but it's hard to sleep while they're banging around on the roof.

Eternal Work in Progress Part 1
When we first bought our house two years ago daddy had all sorts of grand ideas. He's one crazy daddy!
This is what the house looked like when we bought it.
Wow! That is one ugly door.
Mommy says she "can't believe that we bought the house".
Daddy did lots of work to the yard...
but just wait, he's not done yet.

Sleepover
My friend Amelia spent the night on Friday. She got to sleep in a special crib, and I was pretty jealous. Mommy wouldn't let us jump in this crib, so we just hung out in it eating string cheese.
I even figured out how to climb in and out of that crib by myself. I just pushed it up against my Lightning McQueen bed and jumped in from there. And to get out, I got one foot up on the side and hoisted myself up until I could tumble back onto the McQueen bed. Pretty cool. Too bad I can't climb in and out of my own crib--although, I actually have no desire to. My crib is awesome! (By the way, I'm not sleeping in my big boy bed anymore--see Big Boy Bed. That got old real fast and Mommy is just too weak to win this battle. Apparently she would rather sleep than put me back in my big bed over and over and over and over.)
We watched part of a cartoon, but then decided jumping would be more fun (even though Mommy is ALWAYS telling me not to jump on her bed). Luckily she was out of the room when we started jumping.

zoo
Mommy bought a zoo membership for the year and we got to go for the first time on Monday. It was so sunny and warm. My friends Katy and Amelia went too.
My first trip to a zoo was in Phoenix a few months ago (The Zoo). This time, I actually understood that we were there to look at the animals. I think the fact that I've watched "Madagascar" about a zillion times since Easter really helped prep me for this visit. I was really excited to see zebras and hippos and lions and giraffes.
Mommy had a hard time taking pictures because by the time she got the camera ready, we were moving on to something else. Plus, it's hard to see the animals behind the glass. I'm pointing at a monkey standing in front of Amelia, but you can't see him because of all the shadows.
Of course, not all of the animals were anxious to come and look at us through the glass. But that was okay, because there were still other cool things to look at--like this waterfall.

We're planning on going to the zoo lots this summer and fall. So even though we didn't get to see all of the animals this time, or get many good pictures, there is always next time.
