Sunshine and the beach

When there's a sunny weekend during spring or winter (when you rarely see the sun), our family usually heads to Seahurst Beach.  And that's what we did a couple of weekends ago when the sun was shining ALL day!

Sydney loved running around on the beach.

And she's such a copycat.  She saw me walking on the logs so she had to walk on them too.

Mom says I have been getting so brave lately.  I used to be scared of doing anything that might hurt me, and I'm still really nervous about getting on Dad's shoulders.  Heights are not fun.  Especially when Dad pretends he's going to tip over and drop me.  But check me out on these giant rocks.

No fear.  Of course, Mom was scared.  I think some of my scaredness has rubbed off on her, because now whenever I do anything even slightly daring, she's constantly telling me to be careful.  Check out this cool pose.

Of course, maybe I've gotten so daring because I'm trying to keep up with my little sister.  Talk about fearless!  Sydney thinks she's way older than she is.  Of course Mom had to help her up these stacked boards when she started climbing them on her own.

And since Sydney is constantly on the move, she doesn't really like holding hands.

See what I mean.  She's off to something else.

But who can blame her when it's something so fun.

Sydney is definitely not afraid of Dad's shoulders.  She doesn't even hang on.  Look, she knows where her ears are.

And where Dad's ears are.

I love sunny days.
