Picky Picky

Mommy and Daddy think I'm the world's pickiest eater. I think I just know myself really well. I can tell just by looking at a certain kind of food whether or not I will like it. But Mommy is trying to make me try new things anyway. She's trying to make me eat mostly the same thing she and Daddy eat for dinner. But it's kind of hard to do that when they're eating spicy cashew chicken for dinner and a salad. So this is what my plate looked like the other night:

turkey lunch meat (instead of spicy cashew chicken), a piece of lettuce, a slice of radish and a slice of canned mandarin orange (instead of a whole salad)

I've eaten turkey lunch meat before, but the lettuce, radish, and orange were all new. At the last minute Mommy threw on some shredded cheese (which I like) and Craisins (which I also like). I ate a little bit of cheese, a bite of turkey, and half a dozen Craisins. I thought that was plenty, but Mommy insisted I eat either the orange, radish, or lettuce before I got down from the table. Can you tell from the picture below which thing I chose?

And this is what I thought of that orange:

The next night Mommy actually put another piece of lettuce on my plate! Hello! I didn't eat it the night before, what makes her think I've suddenly changed my mind about those things? I'm guessing she'll keep doing that until I try it. We'll see who can hold out longer. Mommy is pretty stubborn, but so am I.

Uhmm.. ya. Kai eats around 4 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches a day. And they have to be in the shape of a circle. Or else.

Brianna was/is the BEST eater. She loves sushi like no other kid I've met.

But boys will be boys:)
