Carving pumpkins

We carved the pumpkin we got at Remlinger Farms. Well, Daddy carved it. I picked at it with a spoon, and Mommy took pictures.

Before we can start carving, Daddy always has to go online to find a cool face to use.

I don't know how Daddy could stand to put his hand inside all of that slime. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Well, maybe a ten inch spoon.

Then Daddy tricked me. He threw some slime on my shirt sleeve while I was trying to scoop out some goop with my spoon.

I was not happy.

Until the "traditional" pumpkin goober fight began.

The goal was too slime everyone else and try not to get slimed yourself. Not even Mommy was safe, and she was holding the camera.

And guess who got to clean it up? Mommy said no more pumpkin fights. Daddy said, okay. No fights for a whole year.

We didn't carve Cooper's pumpkin but we did draw a face on it. I got to help Mommy with the face.
Cooper's grave is right underneath three big trees. They had all lost their leaves. Look at how many there are!

You know I couldn't resist playing in all of that awesomeness!

Pumpkin picking and more

We went to Remlinger Farms with Daddy's friend from work. There were tons of pumpkins to choose from there. It was like a maze running through the pumpkins and giant leaves without tripping (which I did once).

Daddy found a nice big pumpkin for us to carve and then a smaller one to give Cooper.

After picking pumpkins, we headed into the area with rides. This crazy mirror was the first thing I saw. Check out how silly I look!
And then Mommy actually made me sit still for a minute to take a picture. Unbelievable! You can tell I wasn't exactly thrilled.

I thought there were a lot of pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, but check this out!
There were a bunch of motorcycles and four-wheelers on display and for sale. I got to sit on a few of them. So cool!

My bud Zane found a four-wheeler he liked.

Riding in the ferris wheel is definitely more fun with friends. Zane and Stella and I could make it rock a little bit, and when one of us squealed, the other two would always join in.

Daddy let me drive this car.

I think my driving skills made him a little nervous.

Stella did a pretty good job of driving her family around. Her parents didn't look nearly as scared as Daddy.

Another ride I liked were the flying pumpkins. You can push a bar to make yourself go up and down!

Zane and Stella rode these flying horses.

But when they went, I felt like running somewhere else. I should have gone on the ride with them. I waited until just before we went home, and then, when it was finally my turn, some kid jumped on the LAST horse just as I was getting close to it. I had to wait at the front of the line AGAIN for the entire ride before I got to go in. But I guess it was worth it.

By the time we headed home, I was exhausted. I hope we go back again.

Salmon Hatchery

We missed Issaquah Salmon Days but decided to stop by the salmon hatchery there anyway. Those fish are HUGE!

Not many of them were jumping around in the water. But I had fun running and jumping around with my buddy Zane. Of course, I rarely sat still long enough for Daddy to take a picture.

And I'm off again!

Check out the sign to my right. Normally Mommy is very good about reading and obeying these signs. Daddy.....not so much.

But as you can see, Mommy didn't even notice the sign. But, being the good and obedient boy that I am, I put up a fuss when she tried to stick me on the giant metal salmon.

Did you know that salmon have really big teeth? I though this one was going to bite me when I stuck my finger in its mouth.

After the salmon hatchery, we headed over to Remlinger Farms to pick out a pumpkin and go on some rides!

Make-up nap

I thought I'd give Mommy and Daddy a break and make-up for not taking naps for a few days. So yesterday I took a FIVE HOUR nap. How about that? But apparently, that was still a problem because the nap was from 3:30-8:30pm which meant that after that, I was awake until after 11:30pm. I can't win.

3 Days in a Row...

without a nap. Mommy sure gets cranky when I don't take a nap. And what is this quiet time she keeps talking about? If I'm not sleeping, why should I have to stay in my room?

The Haircut

BEFORE

I got my haircut the other day because it was starting to get a little floppy. But before the cut, Daddy decided to have a little fun with my extra long hair while I was in the bathtub.

One horn:

Two horns:

Lots of horns:

Roar!!!! Look out for the monster!

Just kidding, I'm really all sweetness.

AFTER
Haircuts are terrifying ordeals for me. I've never been cut or nicked, but all of that itchy hair falling on my bare shoulders and the buzzing sound of those clippers throws me into tears every time. So Mommy and Daddy always bribe me with a little treat if I'll be good. This time it was an Oreo. After the haircut, Mommy said I could have an Oreo. Daddy gave me 3. I sure love Daddy!
But you know you can't stop after just three Oreos. So while Mommy and Daddy were upstairs, I helped myself to a few more.

I think I deserved them.

It was a really traumatic haircut.
