Loves to eat!
Sydney loves to eat just about anything. The other day she even started licking her dinner plate and chewed on it a bit. I swear we feed her real food!

Better together
I have so much fun with my big brother. He always comes in to see me when I wake up from a nap, and even plays with me in my crib!
He will also watch my Baby Einstein videos with me. Mom is trying to get me to like watching TV--I would much rather follow her around the kitchen while she makes dinner and hold onto her legs for dear life until she picks me up. But, whatever. If Ty is watching my video, I will too. I love to hang out with my bro.
And I love playing on Ty's bed. He has a great view of outside.

Happy Thanksgiving!
My preschool class got to go sing at the Renton Senior Center on the day before Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to learn the songs. Check me out! I'm on the top row, second from the left.
If you listened (and watched) carefully, you probably noticed that I was just a little bit behind all of the other singers in the beginning. Ooops. I caught on by the second verse, though. The only other mistake I made was on a later song not on the video. I started singing the wrong song and the teacher had to get my attention so I would sing the right song. But hey, that's bound to happen when you've got to remember six different songs!
And Mom says sorry for making you dizzy with the quick turning camera. She was handing Sydney to a friend so that she could focus on videoing.

Five years ago....
in a galaxy not so far away, a Jedi was born, and the force was strong with him.
That Jedi was me!!! I just turned FIVE, and to celebrate, I had a STAR WARS party. Star Wars is my favorite. I had a bunch of friends over. We spent time playing with my toys,
but we also watched little bits of Star Wars right before we did games and stuff. Everyone loved Star Wars.
We played a game where we were in teams and had to dress one person up in toilet paper to make them look like a storm trooper. It was actually kind of hard because the toilet paper kept falling off.
But after the game, we got to throw the toilet paper EVERYWHERE, and that was really fun.
We also had a Darth Vader pinata. I got to hit it, and one of my friends got to hit before the bottom fell off and the candy spilled out. But we didn't care. We were all just really excited to get candy!
Another game was pin the X-Wing on the Death Star. (Dad drew a pretty good Death Star, don't you think?) I got kind of close.
But it was really fun to see other kids pin their X-Wing way far away from the Death Star!
I got lots of fun presents from my friends.
And my cake was awesome! It had Ewoks and a two-legged walker and a Storm Trooper on a speeder bike!
The two-legged walker was balanced really carefully on the cake, so when I blew out my candles, I blew softly so I wouldn't knock over the walker.
I had my party a few days before my real birthday. On my real birthday I really turned five.
And I got to have a McDonald's Happy Meal for dinner.
I got more fun presents from my family.
And then I got to blow out another candle on some chocolate cake.
It was the best birthday EVER!!!
When I turn six, I'm going to have a mailman birthday party. And when I turn seven, I'm going to have a construction birthday party. And when I turn eight, I'm going to have a ninja birthday party. Mom just says, We'll see.
Can you believe I'm FIVE???!!!!! AWESOME!

Watch out world!
I'm on the move!
And in case you were wondering what the bet was Mommy and Daddy are talking about...Mommy said I would be walking before I turned 11 months, but if she was wrong, she would have to get Daddy a Slurpee every night for a week. Poor Daddy--no freebie Slurpees for him!

The Primary Program
On Sunday I got to be in the Primary program at church. I was so excited. I picked out what to wear without whining. I let Mom do my hair without throwing a fit. I went up on the stand with all the other kids without getting shy. And then I sang every song and did my part. I made sure to give lots of thumbs up and waves to Mom and Dad. I also made sure that I smiled a lot. Here I am before church holding my Book of Mormon because the theme for the program was "I Know the Scriptures Are True."
