A few more pics

Here are a few more pictures from Grandma and Grandpa's visit. They were trapped on Grandpa's camera and were emailed after the last post.

Playing trains

and cars with Grandma.

Excited for the train to come:

I was slightly tired on the train ride to Seattle.

Grandpa's tummy works great as a pillow...

and a perch while eating my fruit roll up.

His head is also great for getting a better view into the backyard.

And once in a while it's fun to just sit next to him instead of on him.

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Grandma and Grandpa de Jong came for a visit and we got to ride the train into Seattle! I love trains!

In Seattle we went to Pike Place where I found a really cool car store. I wanted every car in the store, but Mommy would only let me look at them with my eyes.

After Seattle we went to the Museum of Flight.

It was raining when we left and Grandpa rescued me from some puddles outside.

Hanging out with Gma and Gpa:

Literally hanging out with Grandpa:

Grandpa made his famous omelets in spite of our missing countertops and sink. Cooking the past couple of weeks has been a challenge since we haven't had a sink or counters. But everything should be back to normal by this Friday. Hooray! After the whole kitchen is done, Mommy will post before, during, and after pictures.

The early bird...

falls asleep early.

This is what happens when you wake up at 4am and don't take a nap all day and Daddy takes you on a walk to keep you awake while Mommy fixes dinner because they don't want you to fall asleep before 6pm because they're afraid if you fall asleep too early you won't sleep through the night.

5:30pm - So much for that plan.

And for the record, I didn't wake up until 6:30am the next morning.

Early Easter

Since Easter fell on General Conference weekend this year, I got to wear my new Easter outfit to church a week early.

Did you notice the Laffy Taffy in my hands? What would an Easter picture be without the traditional bribe.

The thing I loved best about my new Easter outfit, is that I matched Daddy perfectly! We got to be twins!

In order to get "just a few more pictures," Mommy and Daddy let me actually eat the Laffy Taffy instead of just promising that I could after the photo shoot.

A lovely view of the bribe.

Snack Time

Mommy gave me some Fruity Pebbles for a snack, thinking I was going to sit down in the family room to enjoy them. Instead, this is where she found me.

Needless to say, I had another snack of Fruity Pebbles when I went to bed that night and discovered all of the ones that had somehow missed my mouth.

Who needs a nap?

Not me! Although, now that I'm not taking naps anymore, it sure is harder to stay awake in the evenings. The other night I was watching Mommy make dinner. When she turned from the stove to check on me, this is what she found. And it wasn't even 7 o'clock!

Bedtime vs. playtime

I sure am sneaky. The other night I didn't want to put my jammies on for bed, so Mommy said I could sleep in my jeans and shirt. But she said it might be uncomfortable for me to sleep in jeans. That was the whole point! I had no intention of sleeping. Mommy had bought me a new toy and I wanted to play with that instead of sleeping.

So after Mommy and Daddy left me in my room and thought I was asleep, I quietly opened my door and noticed that the computer room door was closed. So I quickly snuck past the computer room and went to play with my toy in my old crib room. Unfortunately, Daddy came out of the computer room a few minutes later and noticed that my bedroom door was wide open. This is what he found when he took a closer look:

An empty bed

And this is where he found me:

After that, Mommy made me get in my jammies so I would fall asleep more easily.

Oh well, you can't blame a guy for trying!
