I'm finally 4!!!

I've been dying to turn four for a while, and it finally happened on Monday!

Mommy and Daddy made me a special Spongebob Squarepants birthday cake. Mommy did the baking and general frosting.

Then Daddy outlined the face and colored in all the small parts.

Finally, Mommy added the legs and arms. I loved it!

Because I got so much snow for my birthday, Mommy and Daddy were really worried that none of my friends would be able to make it to our house for cake. It took Daddy three hours to get home from work!

But I have the best friends ever because they drove through the snow to get to my house!

They're also great at helping me open presents. I got lots of fun stuff: moon dough, a puzzle, a game, a camera, and Legos!

Then we ate Spongebob!

I put the candles in by myelf.

And blew them out all by myself. After all, I am four now.

And after everyone left, Mommy helped me put together some of my Legos and I got to play with them before bed. (Normally Daddy does the Legos, but he had to go help someone who was stuck in the snow.)

I told Mommy and Daddy that was the best birthday ever. I can't wait until I turn five next week!

Happy Birthday to me!

Look what I got for my birthday!

Snow! There was snow on the ground when I woke up and then it started snowing more later in the morning. This is what our yard looked like after lunch when Mommy and I went outside to play:

It took about half an hour to get all bundled up to go play (although most of that time was spent on Mommy trying to fit into snow pants that kept falling off her giant belly).

And we spent a good 45 minutes outside...not bad.

You can tell Mommy is from California. This was her sad attempt at a snowman. I tried to help out a bit too.

I loved the snow, but because it wouldn't stop coming down, the roads got all yucky and Mommy's car doesn't know how to drive in the snow. That meant we couldn't go play at the Family Fun Center's Kidopolis. I was bummed about that, but Mommy said we could go another day.

Happy Halloween! Aaaargh!

Aaaargh! I was a pirate for Halloween.

We got to have a party at my school. Before the moms and dads got there, we decorated paper bags and went trick-or-treating to the offices in the community center. Mommy showed up in time for the treats.

Here I am carefully examining a cracker before deciding whether or not to eat it. One mom brought in oranges that she had hollowed out, drew a face on it like a pumpkin, and then filled with fruit. I ate one strawberry out of it and was done. Mommy ended up finishing the fruit.

THIS was my favorite part--the cupcake!!!! You might notice that I have two juice boxes next to me. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE juice. Forget the crackers and cheese and fruit. Bring on the juice!

For the actual day of Halloween, by friends Katy and Amelia came over for dinner and to go trick-or-treating.

Getting ready to go out...can't forget my sword!

Am I fierce, or what?!

Does this costume look familiar? Charlotte wore the same costume Amelia and I did two years ago. She looks just as cute as we did.

It was tough to get all of us kids to look at the camera and smile at once.

Ryan, Amelia, Katy, me, Charlotte. Obviously Charlotte did not want to be in the picture.

Daddy took 15 pictures of us before we left (don't worry, I won't post them all), and they all pretty much looked like this.

Getting ready to go out.

The first house we hit were our neighbors Sandy and Susano.

I stayed out with Daddy for an hour and made a great haul.

And I didn't forget about Mommy while we were knocking on doors. Whenever someone let me choose a candy, I would grab a chocolate candy bar or a peanut butter cup for Mommy because she really likes those. Look at how many I got!

Can't wait till next year!
